You may have received a notice that your event is in violation of our Terms for promoting a third-party ticketing or RSVP site. This is against our Terms of Service. To avoid action being taken on your event, we kindly ask that you follow these steps.
Is this text real?
Yes, texts sent from our Support number (406-559-4829) are valid texts sent from our Trust and Safety team to enforce our terms.
What does this mean?
Events you host or promote must use Partiful for RSVPs and ticketing. You can't direct guests to another platform to register for or purchase tickets for the same event.
What should I do?
To set up ticketing for your event, check out: How do I sell tickets on Partiful?
If your event has not yet been removed and you already have guests, you can remove those guests to set up ticketing or duplicate the event and use that new page. From there, you can invite your existing guests, or link out to the new page on the old event with RSVPs.
If your event has already been removed, you will need to re-create the event using our ticketing option or without the 3rd party link.
Why does Partiful have this policy?
Partiful gives guests one place to RSVP, buy tickets, receive updates, and access event details. We now support native ticketing, so both free RSVPs and paid admission can be managed directly on Partiful.
External RSVP & ticketing links have always been restricted under our Terms, however, for a long time we understood that hosts didn't have another way to handle paid events. Now that we do, we're no longer able to allow them as it creates a worse user experience for both hosts and guests.
We built out native ticketing on Partiful in order to:
Protect the guest experience: External links have caused a lot of confusion, because guests didn’t know whether their RSVP or their ticket (or both) is necessary for the event.
Improve conversion for hosts: Hosts see large drop-off in conversion from their Partiful RSVPs to external ticket sites. By keeping ticket sales on Partiful, hosts capture more of their audience’s intent to purchase and drive higher sales.
Ensure Partiful can support you at scale: We’ve built robust infrastructure for Text Blasts, large-scale email and text invites, and automatic reminders, with best-in-class deliverability. We don’t charge extra for these tools. Ticketing ensures we can continue to invest in our services as we scale and your events scale.
What about free events?
The same policy applies to free events hosted on third-party platforms.
