What’s the difference between a Community and an Org Profile?

Communities are central hubs for members to interact together. Community members can chat, share events, and stay up-to-date on announcements.

Organization profiles ("Org Profiles") are accounts that users can follow to view past/upcoming events. Org profiles are especially helpful for separating your branded profile from your personal profile and personal Mutuals.

You should create a Partiful Community if you want to:

  • Have a dedicated space for discussion and community-building outside of your events

  • Make it easy for members to share events with each other

  • Have discussion groups for different topics related to your group

  • Have a more streamlined space to manage your community compared to a group chat

You should create a Partiful Org Profile if you want to:

  • Grow your audience and easily invite them to events

  • Separate your personal Partiful profile and Mutuals from your organization or brand (similar to an Instagram Business account)

You don't need an Org Profile to create a Community, and you don't need a Community to create an Org Profile.
