How does check in work for ticketed events?

Each guest who purchases a ticket receives a unique QR code tied to their order. At check in, you, any cohost, and check-in staff can scan guests' QR codes using the Partiful app. The scan validates their ticket in real time and marks them as checked in.

To use the QR code check-in:

  1. You must first be added to the event as a co-host or a check-in staff member

    Note: If your organization profile is co-hosting the event, you'll need to be an admin for the organization, and make sure you are using this specific profile for check in! See here for the steps to switch between profiles.

  2. Open your event in the Partiful app

  3. Tap the Guest List

  4. Tap Check In on the bottom of your screen. Alternatively, tap the settings icon on the top right of your app → tap Scan tickets

  5. Point your camera at a guest's QR code → tap Check In

You can also check guests in manually by navigating to the Guest List, which works on both app and web.
