Ticketing is invite-only during early access. Interested? Join the waitlist.
1. Navigate to Event Settings
If you're in our early access group, you’ll see an option to sell tickets by first creating an event → Event Settings → Cost Per Person → Sell Tickets. Currently, setting up tickets is only available on mobile or desktop web (not in-app).
2. Connect your Stripe account
Partiful uses Stripe, a secure payment platform, to process payments and pay out hosts on our behalf.
To connect to Stripe, within the event you’re hosting, go to Event Settings → Cost Per Person → Sell Tickets → Get started. You'll be walked through Stripe onboarding (usually takes 2–3 minutes) to verify your identity and link to your bank account. Navigate back to your Partiful page when this is complete.
If it’s your first time setting up your Stripe account, your account will need to be verified by Stripe. This usually happens within minutes, but may take up to a couple days. You can't accept payments until this is complete.
You can also connect to Stripe via your profile settings (currently, this is only available on mobile or desktop web). To do this, click the profile photo in the top right hand corner of your screen → click Profile Settings → Payouts → Open Stripe. Once connected, you’ll be able to see total earnings, your connected Stripe account, and all your ticketed events.
3. Create your ticket types
Click + New ticket type. Set a ticket name, a ticket price (optional), quantity limits (optional), and a description (optional). When setting your ticket price, you can set the guest-facing price (What guests pay) or the payout amount (What you get), which is calculated automatically based on our service fee. Click Save to publish your tickets to your event page. You can toggle off Enable ticket at anytime to hide it from your event page.
Note:
- If you’ve already collected RSVPs on a given event, you will be unable to add tickets afterwards on that same event. Ensure you have added tickets before inviting guests to RSVP.
- You will be unable to change your event location after adding tickets. Ensure your location is correct before adding tickets.
- If you leave Ticket name empty, your ticket name will default to “General Admission” (future ticket types on the same event will require unique names). If you leave the ticket price empty, your ticket will default to free. If you leave the Total available tickets field empty, your tickets will default to being unlimited.
4. Save your event
Click Done to save your event. Once tickets are set up, your event page will show guests a "Get tickets" button.
5. Track your sales
Monitor ticket sales, estimated payout amount, and payout status from Event Settings → Cost Per Person → Payouts. Click Open Stripe for full transaction details.
You can also view which tickets guests have purchased by navigating to the Guest List.
6. Check guests in
Open your event in the Partiful app → navigate to the Guest List → Manage Guests → Check In. Scan guest’s QR codes (currently only available in app) or check them in manually by name (available on both app and web). Add cohosts to your event to give them check in access.
7. Get paid
Payout is sent to your connected Stripe account after your event ends, typically within 3-5 business days, except for your first payout, which can take up to 14 days.
