Yes, you'll need to connect a payout account via Stripe before guests can purchase tickets. When you first enable ticketing on your event, you'll see a "Get Started" prompt that walks you through Stripe onboarding (this usually takes 2–3 minutes).
While Stripe verifies your account, you'll see a "Verifying your details..." screen on your Partiful page. You will not be able to create ticket types until your account is verified by Stripe.
Once verified, your event dashboard will show "Ready to sell tickets.” Now you can start adding ticket types.
A few things to know:
- Stripe asks for a company website, which we pre-fill with your Partiful profile page, so you don't need a separate business site. If you do have a separate business site, feel free to input that instead.
- Payouts go to the person who set up the Stripe connection. If you have cohosts, only the original creator can access Stripe from the Partiful event page.
